BC Entertainment Hall of Fame welcomes applications for StarWalk and StandingOvations inductees
The BC Entertainment Hall of Fame (BCEHOF) is pleased to invite nominations for its 2025 honourees. Nominations to the BCEHOF are submitted by a group of individuals on behalf of a nominee who has made a significant contribution to the performing arts, film & television, and radio broadcast arenas in British Columbia.

“The BC Entertainment Hall of Fame celebrates those who have shaped our province’s rich entertainment history,” says Christina Potter, Vice President of Inductions. “We invite the public to nominate artists and industry professionals who have made a lasting impact.”
Nominations are sought in the BCEHOF’s two prestigious categories:
- StarWalk inductees: individuals with highly recognizable names who are known for their artistic excellence and high public profile in the entertainment industry. They receive a star on the sidewalk in the Granville Entertainment District in Downtown Vancouver.
- StandingOvations: individuals who are considered trailblazers of our industry and have left an indelible mark on BC’s entertainment landscape.
The BCEHOF’s Board of Directors has committed to a rigorous nomination procedure to streamline and align the awards process with other Hall of Fame organizations across North America. In addition, there will be a focus on the StandingOvations category to ensure those nominated in this group are recognized for their outstanding contribution to the performing arts in British Columbia.
“The Hall of Fame exists to inspire and lead so that anyone considering a career in entertainment can look down at a star in the sidewalk and think, ‘That could be me!’,” adds President Bill Allman.
All applications will be reviewed against key criteria by BCEHOF’s nominating committee, which is composed of previous BCEHOF inductees as well as people actively involved in BC’s entertainment industry. The new class of inductees will be announced in the summer of 2025.
The BC Entertainment Hall of Fame’s StarWalk and The Orpheum Theatre are located within the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations who have cared for and stewarded this land since time immemorial.
