Jay Brazeau was born on December 22, 1953 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He has been featured in dozens of films and many more TV series and specials. His TV series guest appearances include; MacGyver The Gun (1988, 1990) Mom P.I. (1990) Neon Rider (1990, 1994) Highlander (1992) The X Files (1994) Stargate SG-1 (1998, 2001) The Outer Limits (1998, 2001) Millennium (1999)Ed (2000)Da Vinci’s Inquest (2001) Dead Like Me (2003)The West Wing (2005) and Stargate: Atlantis (2005) His credits include voicing Richard Condie’s Oscar-nominated animated short La Salla. In addition to his work in film and television, Jay Brazeau is a well respected and busy stage actor. A small sampling of his theatre credits include performances at the Citadel Theatre in Duddy, Brighton Beach Memoirs and Tsymbaly; Moonlight and Magnolias and Other People’s Money for the Vancouver Playhouse; The Goat, or Who is Sylvia? for Presentation House; Urinetown for Firehall Arts Centre; Hairspray for Mirvish Productions; The Producers for Arts Club Theatre; Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Drinking in America and Blue Window for Angry Actor’s Co-op. Fiddler on the Roof at the Rubicon Theatre in California. He starred as “Man in chair” in the National Arts Centre production of “The Drowsy Chaperone” in Ottawa (October 2009).
