Ray Buchanan

Ray is an accomplished costumer and designer for many of BC’s notable performers, including the glamorous Gillian Campbell and Mandrake the Magician. He worked with Watts Costumes for many, many years, and costumed the Cave Supper Cub, Jack Card Dancers, Fran Dowie’s Music Hall Shows in Barkerville, Whitehorse and Dawson City. Ray studied Arabic and Egyptology at university in Cairo and designed costumes in Madrid. He returned to work at length for the Arts Club – for all three theatres. He is now happily travelling in Europe.
