Wayne Cox
Wayne Cox has been a broadcaster since 1968. He was a deejay and radio talk host in Quesnel for CKCQ from 1968 to 69, Kelowna CHNL 1970-71 and many other Vancouver radio and television stations. He hosted the afternoon slot on CKNW from 1971 to 1978, as well as host of Wednesday Night Hockey telecasts 1977-78. He was also a mainstay at CKVU for nearly a decade as host of T.G.I.F./Video Gallery, host of the Vancouver Show 1979- 3 and news anchor from1983-85. Wayne has hosted a number of TV variety programs and just might have the record in Canada for hosting more game shows than any other announcer. Some of the shows include Second Honeymoon for CBN 1987–88 and Talkabout for CBC/US FOX Stations from 1988 to 99. He was host of Legal Wise for CBC/ Knowledge Network 1989-90. He again played game show host for Acting Crazy Global TV/syndication in 1991-92. Wayne has also worked on television projects in the U.S. Belgium and New Zealand. Known for his fabulous collection of Hawaiian shirts, he was the weekend weather host for Global-TV Vancouver 1992-97 and has been weather anchor for News Hour BCTV/Global TV Vancouver since 1997.He is a consummate professional and at home equally on radio or television.
