Roy Forbes
Roy Forbes, also known as “Bim”, is that rare BC artist with a street named in his honour in his hometown of Dawson Creek, BC. Roy brings with him a great batch of original songs 50 years in the making. He also
travels with an in-depth knowledge of jazz, blues, country, and folk music.
Roy started “up north“ in the ‘60s. Performing as “Bim,” he had his brush with stardom before becoming one of Canada’s most respected and best-loved singer/songwriters. With nine solo records and two more with his UHF companions, BC Entertainment Hall of Fame inductees Shari Ulrich and Bill Henderson, Roy has left much for posterity. As a performer he is a master of the stage, establishing an electrical connection with audiences.
Inducted into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame as a pioneer in 2017, he joins the ranks of the most cherished and well loved folk artists of our province.
