Lovena B. Fox
Lovena B. Fox is a very gifted actress, singer and songwriter. On stage, she was recently seen in Jacques Brel and starred as Evita at the Arts Club Theatre. She also played the role of “Sarah” in the Chicago and U.S. National Tour productions of “Ragtime,” for which she received critical acclaim and was nominated Best Actress at the 2001 National Broadway Theatre Awards. She also won the 2002 Connecticut Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress for her performances as Lucy in the musical Jeckyll and Hyde. Other theatre credits include Ain’t Misbehavin’, Little Shop of Horrors and Sophisticated Ladies. As a recording artist, Lovena is best known as the powerful voice behind the duo Love and Sas. Her lead vocals on four top ten singles ultimately led the group to win two Juno Awards, a Much Music video Award and to sell over 40,000 copies of their CD Call My Name. Lovena has recorded, written and/or performed with the likes of Bon Jovi, Colin James, Bill Henderson, The Payolas, Michael J. Fox, William Shatner, Jerry Lewis and David Foster. One song she co-wrote was recorded in French by Lara Fabian and sold over 750,000 copies in Canada and Europe. Lovena has also appeared on Jay Leno, Jerry Lewis Telethon, Dini Petty, All My Children and The Chris Isaac Show, to name a few.
