Dorothy Goldrick
An accomplished actress and radio performer, Dorothy Goldrick was a pioneer in community theatre in B.C., earning the Eric Hamber Award for her work in this area. She actively taught creative drama to children, notably at the Kerrisdale Community Centre, in North Vancouver and at Vancouver College. Professionally, she formed Vancouver Repertory Theatre, and also performed and directed with the former West Coast Actors Theatre Company, Manitoba Theatre Centre and Vancouver Little Theatre. Dorothy’s credits include films, commercials and many CBC radio dramas and she was an adjudicator for what is now Theatre B.C. Dorothy, who died in December 2012, was an active member of ACTRA and Canadian Actors’ Equity.
