Joe Keithley
Best known as the leader of Canada’s influential punk band, D.O.A. and as the Canadian godfather of punk rock music, Joe Keithley has for the last 35+ years shared his unique combination of rousing rock ‘n roll and political activism with fans around the world. Born and raised in Burnaby, BC, Keithley’s career includes more than 3,000 concerts on five continents and 16 top-selling albums. The musician/author/actor is also a strong voice for the environment and social justice, regularly performing at peace rallies and benefit concerts. More recently, he has ventured into politics, running for MLA in several BC provincial elections on behalf of the Green Party of BC. In 2008, The Vancouver Sun named Keithley one of the most influential British Columbians of all time.
