Morris Panych
Morris is a playwright whose work has been seen in Canada, the U.S., Europe and Australia. As an actor, he has appeared in more than 50 plays. He has directed more than 30 productions of both his own work and that of others, including Sweeney Todd, The Imaginary Invalid and Hamlet (The Arts Club), Lawrence and Hollman, Seven Stories and White Biting Dog (Tarragon Theatre) as well as operas for Vancouver Opera and The Banff Centre and music videos for Spirit Of The West. In 1995, he won the Governor General’s Literary Award for drama in his play The Ends of the Earth. Morris was born in 1952 and grew up in Edmonton. He received a BFA in Theatre and Creative Writing from UBC in 1977.
