Manager, agent, talent buyer, music educator, and advocate Rob Pattee spent over 40 years in the music industry breaking acts and handling their career trajectory. Raised in Montreal, Pattee’s career in music began in the late-1970s when he ran a bar in Jasper, Alberta. Seeking “cool” original bands to play the place, he made connections with agents and others in the business, leading him to a job at Expo 86 at a time when Vancouver was exploding with live entertainment. He later found work with Sam Feldman’s talent agency, starting in 1992.
Considered a certified star-maker, Pattee was responsible for launching many hit artists, including Wide Mouth Mason and Daniel Powter. As the owner of RPM Music Services, Patee’s steady hand guided award-winning Crystal Shawanda’s career to impressive heights. His proven relationships and credibility throughout the Canadian music industry speak to his longstanding commitment to advancing the careers of both emerging and established artists.
