We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of our cherished members, Dean Regan.

Dean (July 27, 1937 – June 4, 2025) passed away peacefully at the age of 87 in Abbotsford BC. Predeceased by his parents Joe and Helen Vickers his brother John sisters Lilliane, Mona, Betty, Gloria and Billy. He will be forever and greatly missed by his sister Norma and all of his nieces and nephews along with is all his friends and colleagues in the theatre industry that he so appreciated and loved he will live through you (Vancouver Sun)

Dean’s extraordinary talent and dedication to the arts left an indelible mark on stages and screens across the country. A true multi-hyphenate, he performed in every major theatre in Canada and contributed to television, film, nightclubs, commercials, and recordings.

From his first professional dance performance at 8 years old and his roles as child star Tommy Vickers at Theatre Under the Stars, Dean Regan was recognized as a major talent. In 1959 he changed his name to Dean Regan and headed for Hollywood then New York, where he apprenticed with such notables as George Balanchine, Aida Broadbent and Alan Lund and toured with such greats as Buster Keaton, Rudy Vallee and Paul Whiteman. His extensive credits included acting, singing, dancing, choreography, writing, composing, producing, and directing. Dean’s passion, creativity, and commitment to his craft inspired countless colleagues and audiences alike.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who were touched by his life and work.
