David Sinclair
David Sinclair grew up in Vancouver and started playing guitar at the age of 12. By the time he was eighteen, he was playing five to six nights a week, attending UBC’s School of Music and appearing regularly as a vocalist on CBC-TV. He became a top-call studio player performed in musical theatre, TV shows, films and records. David formed the bands Sunshyne (became Prism), Straight Lines and Body Electric. David toured for three years with k.d.lang, ten years with Sarah McLachlan and worked with Michael Bublé, Valdy, BTO, Bryan Adams, Rita MacNeil, The Irish Rovers and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. He more recently performed with the David Sinclair & Keith Bennett Duo, Jane Mortifee, and was the musical director for Susan Jacks. David passed away in December of 2018 and will be missed by the many musicians he collaborated with, his family and his fans.
