Suzanne Sysak
Known professionally by her first name alone (like her sister, Juliette), Suzanne had a very successful radio career in the late 40s, the 50’s and 60’s. She is best remembered as the female star of the popular radio show, Nabob Harmony House, which was broadcast live across Canada from the stage of the Orpheum every Wednesday night for ten years. Suzanne, who was fluent in many languages including her heritage Ukrainian, also had her own radio show called Gypsy Strings which had great ethnic appeal. She and Juliette were a popular duo, noted for their flawless harmony. Suzanne died in October 1995.
