Isy and Richard Walters

Isy Walters owned and operated the State Theatre on Hastings Street. Mr. Walters is most known for his purchase and management of The Cave Supper Club, which he owned until 1958. It was during his time at The Cave that he brought his son Richard (“Richie”) into the business. In 1958, Isy sold The Cave to go on to something even bigger. He and Richard built Isy’s Supper Club and opened it in 1958. During his six years at The Cave and 18 years with Isy’s Supper Club, Richard and Isy brought to Vancouver some
of the biggest names in entertainment, including many entertainers who are now inducted into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame.
